Synthesis of a Novel 2-((4,5-Diphenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)thio)acetaldehyde as a Bisulfite Adduct

چکیده

The scope of the current work was to synthesize an S-alkylated 1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol derivative. Synthesis carried out in two steps: first step, 4,5-diphenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol using a halogenated acetal and cesium carbonate. In second several deprotection procedures were tested, aldehyde obtained isolated as bisulfite adduct. structures new compounds characterized by FT-IR, 1D, 2D NMR spectroscopic methods.

The title compound, C(4)H(4)N(6)S(2), was synthesized by the reaction of 3-mercapto-1H-1,2,4-triazole with sodium hydrox-ide in ethanol. The mol-ecule possesses a crystallographically imposed twofold axis. Inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains along the c axis.
